Franca Coin, President since its establishment in 1996, was unanimously acclaimed Honorary President by the Venice Foundation Shareholders’ Meeting gathered Saturday 12th September, at Palazzo Franchetti, headquarters of the Veneto Institute of Sciences, Letters and Arts that the Venice Foundation thanks for the hospitality.
The 2019 budget has been approved, which records a small loss largely covered by the reserve fund. The 2020 estimated budget has also been approved with a spending commitment of 170,000 euros.
The corporate positions for the next three years have been renewed due to the natural expiry of the mandate. Giovanni Alliata di Montereale, Riccardo Avanzi and Graziano Visentin were reconfirmed on the Board of Auditors.
The Board of Directors, also reconfirmed, has appointed Luca Bombassei as President of the Venice Foundation. The architect – with Venetian roots and who has lived in the lagoon area for many years – will be joined in his new role by the Councilors Giacomo Cavallucci, Katia Da Ros, Hélène de Prittwitz Zaleski, Ferigo Foscari, Roberto Spada, Guido Venturini, Matteo Zoppas and the new Councilor Chiara Rusconi.
The new course of the Venice Foundation, aware of its own history, is dynamically projected towards the completion of its quarter-century by fielding new forces and ideas, always in continuity with the founding project of Franca Coin.
